Using NAS devices with Cubby

On Windows systems, cubbies residing on NAS devices may not sync properly. This is because NAS devices do not guarantee proper transmission of filesystem event information, which is a prerequisite for syncing operations. Cubby allows you to set up a sync relationship with NAS drives, but a message will remind you of the potential issues. Since Cubby cannot differentiate between NAS and other remote locations/devices, the reminder is shown for all network devices, including those that are known to sync reliably.

Cubby does not allow syncing with network locations that rely on protocols that inherently lack support for filesystem events (for example, FTP and WebDav).
